“Wadsworth
Library is one-stop shopping for books (print and digital!), materials
from other libraries (42 of them!), programs (children and adults!).
It's a place to get help with researching things, to pick up a movie for
the weekend, to run into your neighbors. It's common ground regardless
of political party, church affiliation, income. And the price can't be
beat. Wadsworth Library is our tax dollars at work in a way that
sustains and improves our community every day.”
Our
National Library Week “Library of the Year” judges loved that statement
from Meredith Drake. It was one of the reasons they chose the Wadsworth Library in Geneseo to be the RRLC 2013 Public Library of the Year. We
met Meredith Drake the day we visited Wadsworth; she said she comes to
the library often. Like the other people we met that day, she loves
their beautiful library and she sees it as the “gem” of the village.

This is what our judges had to say about the many nominations received by Wadsworth Library:
--Nominations for this library were in-depth. It is clear that individuals of all ages are drawn into the library. The library is truly the center of the community. --We had a blast on our visit to Wadsworth. We even witnessed the joy on the face of one little boy as he got his first library card!
Congratulations to Anna Grace, her staff, the Wadsworth Library Board of Trustees and Friends for being selected the RRLC 2013 Public Library of the Year!
Visit the RRLC website to take a photo tour, read the nominating entries, and watch the video of our visit to the Wadsworth Library.
Congratulations - (but I already knew that Wadsworth Library and its people are the very best)
